PROJECT DESCRIPTION
Raffles at Galaxy Macau, with its innovative design and luxury offerings, stands out even among Macau’s world-class resorts. The HBA Singapore team, in collaboration with its brand partners HBA Leisure and SOCIAL F+B, drew inspiration from Macau's rich multicultural history, embracing the concept of Macau as a nexus of trade where many cultures and goods passed through.
Through this theme, the design team crafted the hotel’s interiors as an opulent ode to classical Italian architecture while drawing upon Macau’s multicultural heritage. Aiming to create a property that is both majestic and residential in feel, the design team centered on a fictional figure from the past—a wealthy Italian merchant, filled the hotel’s vast rooms and areas with ‘the merchant’s collection’—an array of eclectic artwork representing the extensive collection of unique artifacts gathered by the merchant on his travels from Europe to China.
