PROJECT DESCRIPTION

This new build Baotou Pullman Hotels and Resorts is a sophisticated weaving of Baotou’s rich Mongolian heritage and it is a prominent new place as a hub for technology. The interior spaces are meant to perpetuate social interactions, both casual and formal. The backdrop for these important interactions are beautiful interpretations of geometric patterns reminiscent of ancient yurts, natural crystal forms and now modern technology. The lobby blends natural faceted mineral and crystal forms in stone with layered woven, polished metal screens, reminiscent of modern circuit boards. The restaurant spaces bring the grand scale from the prairie down to the hearth, with traditional barrel and yurt forms. Flowing to the guest rooms, layers of traditional loom-woven carpet patterns in rich royal tones open to a technology-inspired room. The art package was curated to inspire the majestic scale and varied beauty of the Mongolian experience.
