PROJECT DESCRIPTION
HBA unveils the philosophy and design concepts behind the luxurious interiors of the Hotel Indigo Suzhou Grand Canal. Located at the top 14-stories of the 46-story Longfor Center in Suzhou's popular New District, the property gets its namesake from famous Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal located just a stone’s throw away. By conceptualizing the journey of the Qing Dynasty Qianlong Emperor on an inspection tour of Suzhou, the design team wove elements from the vibrant sights and stunning locations of the city into the different areas of the hotel, utilizing traditional materials, furnishings, and artwork while maintaining a distinctly a contemporary look and feel. The final effect is one of both modern luxury and historical immersion, offering guests a fascinating introduction to the city’s 2, 60-year history and a truly unique, lavish experience.
