At the Hotel Indigo Los Angeles Downtown, guests are at once seduced by a bold grandeur and comforted by the open expanse. Upholding the Indigo brand of location-based design, this hotel is unlike any other. Hints at pre-Hollywood glamour inform guests subliminally of the city’s storied past, vaudeville charm and early cinema, underground speakeasies and bright-eyed starlets. An homage to the Fiesta de las Flores of the 1880s, the lobby blends mechanics and organic flora from floor to ceiling, guiding the eye to a focal green wall. The restaurant and bar beckon back to prohibition-era brewing, while guestrooms serve as the ingénue of our script, inspired by actress Anna May Wong, her downtown home, and directors who shaped her onscreen appearances. Every space is pulsating with life, captivatingly playful and elegantly sleek, rich with histories new and untold.
